Physical Fitness Test (PFT) Details
What to expect at the recruitment rally and how to prepare for the physical tests.
The PFT is rigorous and designed to test your endurance and functional strength under pressure.
The 1.6 KM Run
Group I: Up to 5 Min 30 Secs (60 Marks). Group II: 5 Min 31 Sec to 5 Min 45 Secs (48 Marks). This requires immense stamina.
Pull Ups on Beam
10 Pull-ups get you 40 marks. Less than 6 means disqualification. Ensure your chin goes above the bar on every repetition.
9-Foot Ditch & Zig-Zag Balance
These are qualifying tests but require good coordination. Practice jumping wide gaps and balancing on narrow beams during your training.
